A Second Session
When Lisa came to me for a second session I was super excited. Her first session was years ago. Both of our lives were so very different. I looked forward to connecting with her again at this point in our lives. When she arrived I could tell that this session would be different. There was a confidence about her that wasn't there years ago. We talked about it and she said that during her first session she cared more about what she looked like. This time around she basically said, "fuck it".
When I turned 40 I could feel a shift. I didn't feel it the moment I turned 40, but how cool would that have been? It was definitely around that time that I started just not giving a fuck, even more so than before. I love the freedom that shift gave. And I love witnessing it in others.
After each session I ask clients to fill out a questionnaire so I can learn from our experience together. Here are some of the question and answers from Lisa's session.
What were you most nervous about heading into your session?
Being myself in my own skin in front of a lens and flowing with the moment.
How did your session compare to how you thought it would be?
Surprisingly Amazing! I felt more like myself than I have in many years . Erica truly has a knack for making you feel comfortable while she photographs you in an intimate setting.
What was your favorite part of your experience?
I have two favorite parts. Having a music playlist made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Listening to music that personally made me feel good and moving my body to music was key to feeling amazing during the shoot. Second is Erica’s ability to see art through her lens. She was able to guide me through the whole process and had a vision of what she thought would look great .
How do you feel now that you've experienced the session?
Fantastic! I am impressed with all my photos and couldn’t find one that I did not like. I feel better about my body than I have in years. Highly recommend doing an intimate photo shoot with Erica. She helped make me feel comfortable and laugh through the process. Erica is real with a great mix of fun in a professional manner.
Would you recommend an Intimate Portraiture Session with Erica Chick to others?
Absolutely! If you need a reason to feel good about yourself and love the skin you are in. Then this is it.
Would you ever do an Intimate Portraiture Session again?
Yes, Indeed! This is actually my second time doing intimate portraits with Erica.
What was your absolute most favorite photo from your session and how does it make you feel?
Favorite photo...hmmm I loved them all for different reasons . But if I had to pick one then I would pick tank-top and Jean shorts. Since that’s who I truly am. This photo made me feel sexy and myself in my everyday life.
Do you have anything else that you'd like me know?
Yes... whoever you are no matter your age gender or lifestyle, do intimate portraits . Do it for yourself. Do it because when you can see yourself in a different light it is truly empowering. Choose Erica and her expertise to give you the best experience.
